| Eliminating freewheel on vf/dna dig?
I had an idea last night while laying in bed, yes I dream about crawlers just in case your wondering. Is it possible to eliminate the freewheel posistion with a VF/DNA dig? My initial thought was a larger dog of some sort, some thing that would essentially take up the space that freewheel would typically utilize. I'm trying to get rid of the rollback that comes to light during the brief transition from 4wd to dig. Anyone have any thoughts?

That's what I was thinking, I run a HS-225 @ 6v, speed is rated at .11 sec. The next fastest Hitec I could find was rated at .09 sec but a measely 29 oz in. How fast would I need in order to minimize the rollback?

| You may find that a stronger servo with a longer arm and still decent speed will achieve your goal much better.

You'll never get rid of the roll completely. There's only a few discrete engagement points, and if you are between the engagement points, it's gonna roll until it gets to the next set. It's just the way it works.

| Understood! When you combine the motion of the dig with the slop of axial lockers, it creates considerable backwards movement. I'll try the longer servo arm and see where it gets me with this. Thanks for the input, very much appreciated.
