Default TLT Shocks: Shorter Shafts?

Are there shorter shock shafts available that will work with TLT shocks? Before I modify some, I thought I'd look to see what else may be available.

And, no, merely limiting the travel will not suffice. I need the shaft to be shorter.

Thanks!

3mm shafts?

have you tried a touring car shaft? or CC01 shaft?
im trying to remember how the TLT shocks piston attaches. might be an issue with a shaft swap.

Yep, 3mm. I compared it to an Axial shaft and it's just barely shorter and has the same threads for endlinks and same grooves for c-clips. Now I just need to locate a shorter one, but am not sure what's available. Maybe some touring car shafts will work, but the ones I have are too short.

How steady are you with a hack saw or dremel with a cut off wheel?

Chuck the shaft up in a drill and make some new grooves for c-clips? Cut of the excess?

Or would short rod ends help?

Also, look at Tower Hobbies, and seach shock shaft. Tons of stuff come up, most with lengths listed.

Thanks for the input, guys. I could cut a groove for the clips into the shafts, but I'm just hoping not to. But I looked on Tower and sure enough I found many 3mm shock shafts with two piston grooves and a threaded end just like what I need....and available in a variety of lengths! Thanks for the heads up!
