| who has the narrowest 12mm hexes?
got some new wheels for my maxstone 16 but the hub is a little thicker than stock, making it not have enough thread on the shafts to hold the locknuts on solid. i figure getting thinner hexes would gain back enough width.

Axial ones that come with the SCX10's are pretty narrow. Much narrower then the ones that come on the AX10. Both 12mm hexs, but the SCX ones are close to half the thickness of the 2.2's. With having room for the axle pin, I don't think the hexs could really get any thinner then the Axial 1.9's. You could also maybe sand/grind/dremel down the ones you have.

i appreciate the recommendations. i will probably pick up a set of scx10 hexes. i would thin down the stock hexes but they are plastic and i'm afraid they won't survive being thinned.
