Default first rc

soo just got my first actual rc anything. 24years old never had a rc car worth anything. i got a honcho rtr.... got it out batteries in controler. battery pack charged. linked the two together, chased the cat, scared the dog. then it quit. i noticed the controller was smelling hot.. not good. took the back off and touched the main board and hotttt!!!!!!!!... so i called axial, they are sending me a new controler and return shipping label....awsome probably the best costomer service iv ever delt with. so in the meantime i ordered the aluminum link and upgraded hardware kit.. also got a nikko chevy avalanche im gnna rob the body off ($5.50 ebay)

Make sure to use blue lock tight on all the screw/nuts/bolts that thread into metal. It seems many people are losing screws on the RTR's.

Have fun

Default update

axial emailed me back. they are waiting on there replacement radios. there upgrating me to the ax-3, and they are sending me a set of new tires for the wait(1.9 or2.2, i got 2.2s)

the bad:
i went to swap out the plastic links with the upgrade kit and turned on the truck, it turned on but the esc keeps shorting out. if you rock it it turns on and off. so i think i got the lemon. dang... so still waitng to drive this thing. almost two weeks and still no driving!
