Tamiya Juggernaut

My eyes are burning from searching for info on what is possible with a Juggernaut, forgive me and help me out please. I picked one up in a package deal and wonder if it can be made into a decent scale crawler. I don't want to throw a ton of money into it but am willing to do so to a certain extent. Or would I be better off selling it and buying a CR01 rig? thanks

you may try Tamiya Crawler forum. Those guys do nothing but tamiya & you may get more responses.

neither a jugg or a cr01 are really scale. The bodies from both are scale, but nothing else. A jugg can be made to resemble scale monster trucks, which look friggin awesome. Using a txt or tube chassis. Also if it is a Jugg1 then restore it to a shelf queen. The axles are very weak. Upgrades to jugg2/ txt can bemade though

The Jug axles and gearbox are basically the same as the TXT-1 so you could look in that forum for ideas. The Jug1 had 5mm outputs on the axles to the universals. Jug2 has 6mm outputs. You should determine what you have. If they have not recieved the 6mm outputs and gear upgrade, you would not want to even drive the thing around hard on a flat surface less try to crawl with it.

The Jug kit has been out of production for a while and is now quite collectable. If it is in very good clean condition, it would be worth much more as a whole than trying to build a crawler out of it.
