Default axial transmision/transfer case

I know it's been done but I have searched and can't find any info, has anyone got a link or can you tell me what needs to be done to convert a ax10 transmision to a transfer case.

Remove the spur gear, cut the shaft down if needed, and hook up a driveshaft to it.
