|  How far away is your wheeling spot?
Just curious to see how far you guys/gals gotta go to get to your best spot. I live in the mountains, and I'll be danged to see that there is pretty much NOTHING in my backyard. I just moved into a new rental house. The old one would have been paradise, but this one....only rocks I can see are under the deck and Im gonna have to to some crawling of my own to get them out. So what about you guys? Where's your spot? Any pictures? |

Well, right now the spots where I wheel are a few miles away which wouldn't be so bad if I could still drive. lol So I took it upon myself to make a wheeling spot in the backyard. I started today clearing the area It may take a bit but is going to be awesome because it's in my backyard. Heck if I want I could roll out there in my shorts and flip flops and crawl. I will post all the transgression pics when I am done in a few weeks.

Most of the good places I go is with the local club. They are based about 45 minutes from me and there is tons of stuff and places around there. But the other good is I live on the seacoast (about 10 miles from it) and there is unlimited places along the coast to find good rock areas. I am also about an hour away from the mountains and that brings a ton of other areas. The bad is right around me there are a bunch of hiking trails that I know about. But they are not that much fun, just dirt walking/biking trails. I am sure there are other places around, I just haven't had the time to find them. I have been meaning to use like Google earth or similar to just look around the area and see what I can come up with. I love going with the club and its cool to see everyones rigs, but I would love to find a close spot that I can hit quickly or on the way home from work, etc.

I have very few spots I can crawl in my back yard but I am working on fixing that right now. First is to clean out the intended spot to use and then buy/find stuff to use. I mountain bike a lot so im going to keep my eye out for good stuff on the beginning of trails.

I have a small area in my backyard that spans about 7x10' for testing. The closet natural spot to my house is 1 hour away in Hernando, MS and it's underwater for most of the year. I have to drive to central Arkansas if I want to see any more natural stuff.

An hour to an hour and a half away, just not that many GOOD spots in west central Ohio  . You people out West took all the good stuff |

I can actually drive most of my course from my couch, just a few climbs I'm blind on. Gotta do what you gotta do on those hot summer days |

Ya i do most of my crawlng around my house but i live in orand at the foot of the cascade mts so there is a lot of places with in a few min of my house.

48 steps from my hobby table/ area to my personal course/ rock arena about a 1/4mile hike to my 2 creeks in my woods but the crawling and scale running is still kinda meh. and then about 10-15min drive to the good areas at local parks |
