2.5 maxx slider u joint qestion
 
ok well i have the 2.5s for my project. on of the pins is supposed to slide out of the ball joint....i found the one that is supposed to slide out but it wont come out....i beats the **** out of it but it hasent even moved. how did you guys get them out so you could run juggy yokes? ive beaten the the pin with a hammer but it just wont budge and its pissing me off.

Uhhh dude they don't come out on max yokes :lol:


It's the juggy ones they come out on, they are held in by E-clips :wink:

no they do come out man....ive seen it doene...look on rcmt they have a thread on how to do it.

Aghhhh right you are, I forgot all about that how too.

From what I remeber when traxxas updated they're design it put an end to doing it that way because the pin wouldn't come out. That post was made over 2 years ago so things have changed a bit sence then. Then main reason for doing it that way was because the juggy outputs didnt have the holes for the pin in the yoke to go through.

My sudgestion is use the stock traxxas yokes, they fit on a TXT without any modification :wink:

the pins dont come out anymore. its not a press fit, its glued in or something.

highmark,

im using the shafts on my tlt axles so a juggy output is a must. im running a txt tranny so i had the maxx shafts....i think i can drill out the old pin but im not sure...luckly i have a ton of those joint balls.
