| Calling all chassis vendors
If this project is possible, I might be getting a hold of one of you, but in the mean time I want to ask all of you if you ever had any thoughts of making a chassis(with or without the scx10 chassis) and making the front interchangeable with IFS or solid? Like one moment you have a solid front axle and it's works and functions like it should and then with a few screws(or so) you can disconnect it and pop in or screw in a slash 4x4 IFS in place and have it work just as well in the function and looks. Ya I know this sounds more complicated and confusing but I also like making things different and having a choice

I have, and I can't figure out why it hasn't been done yet. I'd like to see it done front AND back...with a 2 speed gear box, you could have a nice high speed off road rig / rock crawler.

So are you talking a delrin type chassis, or metal/tube chassis? I'd look into it, but i don't have sxc-10 stuff nor slash/ifs stuff. to design around. So i can't be much help. |

| Nope just using the scx10 chassis and making a way to allow the switch of either IFS or solid front axle. In my head and looking it would be really easy it's just I don't have tools or equipment or parts lol

| Tons of guys build stuff with common hand tools. Dremel, vise, hammer, drill, files, and spend the time to make it look good. It all takes time.

| None of those I have lol, if a vendor here wanted to try or learn how I would do it so they could produce it and sell, I'd have no problem showing them

I think just being involved with and owning a crawler you need to own the basic tools for this part of the hobby. Not for just building but for repair and doing modifications.

Issue is our industries extreme pickiness and then overall small size. Some people would love this, others into scale would criticize the front end used based on its unscale looks or poor performance. Make it fit a Axial AX/SCX axle, what about the Wraith or RC4WD stuff? You see what you want is to customize something...which means with small demands and large gaps in desire its hard to make and then make cheap enough people don't whine. You can do quite a bit of customization with a Dremel, some bits, files, hammer and a vise. All that can be had for very cheap...or call one of our great vendors into action and build something you want the exact way you want it. |

One would be team3six's "teenycar". Another is called "the hybrid" Just stroll through the 2.2 scale section and you'll find them
