Default Maxx Trouble shooting

Could use some help here if anyone cares -
Bashing around with the e maxx for about 10 minutes and then it died.
ESC still on and light responding to throttle - all servos working as well - motors just won't respond to the throttle.
Checked all connections - anybody got an idea of what could cause this?

That sounds exactly like an EVX that went into thermal shutdown... Let it cool down and be off for a while, should be fine.

That what I thought to but shouldn't it have been hot when it shut off?
I checked to see if the EVX or the Motors were hot and they weren't.
I'll give it a half hour and check it again though.

the EVX doesn't always have to be hot to shutdown. if you give it awhile and it doesn't come back on, its possibly fried. mine did the same thing. then after it sat for a couple weeks, it decided to work somewhat again..

How old or how well used are your motor(s)?? Brushes can cause a similar effect on performance.... If they are about gone or just not making good enough contact then they might be the problem.

Yeah the motors are making a weird whine when I run it - I'm looking for some new motors anyway - maybe they've gone ahead and died on me.

thanks guys.

no buy some brushes. the motor in my TXT did that whine thing and I had a guy put new brushes in when he rebuilt it. He said that was pretty much the only issue.
