Hey, yea I've ran 200-300 oz and they normally work fine, but I also have a set of heavily weighted 2.2's that occasionally i'll use just to f around. I don't like to limit myself, and for an extra 30 bucks I get over 100oz extra, couldn't pass it up. Also, I mean't to type 408 oz not 480 but still I know it's a little overkill. But its always better to have a little extra, than not enough...

Also, your scx-10 is probably a lot lighter than mine. Atleast all my scx's were pretty light even with weighted wheels.

Gotchya... I ended up changing the order to the novak goat 3s brushless system. I've always had great results with the Goat!

ya, you might have over done it on the servo, keep an eye on your steering linkage and knuckles, they're going to be stressed.

Never too much steering power....I use a Hitec 7980TH at 8V (about 800 oz)
It's nice to put a tire in a crack and turn the steering and watch it flop a 13lb truck around like a fish out of water...I also have an all alloy front end.

Always better to have more than needed

The steering linkage will bend/break way before the knuckles. I used thinner aluminum for the linkage, and the knuckles on these k44's are almost bullet proof. If anything breaks, I'll just replace it. Thanks though.

I agree with having more than needed, I don't see why people always cut themselves short, just to save a few bucks. Also, my truck is really heavy...

Great work, this rig belongs in the 1.9 section, maybe ask a mod to move it there

I'm in to the body for about $200 - each cab/bed combo are $30 or $39 I forgot, but 3 of those, then the grill, bumpers, window, lenses, paint, bondo, primer, clearcoat, bed liner, etc... (not including the flares etc.)
