Default Aftermarket ESC/radio question

Hey in the "For Sale" section I found something that caught my eye. Since I was planning on uprading my electronics anyway would this work with the axles? I'd also like to do a actual servo for my steering as well. Thanks -David-

230 esc
savage 4 channel radio w/ mod for independent steer
4channel savage reciever

should work fine a long as the size of the esc and rec. arent to large. space is limited.

Sweet deal thanks! I'm wondering about that 4 channel radio though... do you think its a pistol grip or a square type?

its a pistol grip, i looked into it, i was considering that package for my tlt i'm building. some other options for a nylint is the TQ3 remote/reciever or airtronics controler/reciever both cheap on ebay. the moped esc 1/10th scale one is 33 shipped the 1/18th scale one is 28 shipped and they are both very small. or you could go the route of putting 1/6 boards and remote. same general idea as an esc but much cheaper.

Nick pointed out to me with my T-Maxx I already have a TQ3, so all I would need to get is a different reciever and ESC to get myself goin, and just have diff crystals so I could alternate back and forth. Also get myself a steering servo. Anyone know where I could get just the reciever? Also what would be a good ESC for this thing? I dont want to spend a ton but want one that will work for both motors ya know? Thanks -David-

reciever search ebay for TQ3 heres one
http://cgi.ebay.com/Traxxas-2215-3-C...QQcmdZViewItem

as for a esc, i would have to say the moped 1/10th V16R esc
http://cgi.ebay.com/MOPED-V16R-Plus-...QQcmdZViewItem

i'm not sure if the 1/18 would be strong enough, it might be ok for a nylint, but for around 35 shipped you really can't go wronge. i was just looking seems the difference between the two is the 1/10 puts out 3 amps while the 1/18 puts out only 2 amps, probly enough for a lil crawler

like i stated above i run an associated rc18t esc. it works fine but i added a 6 cell 2/3 a intellect 1200 race pack and the esc started thermaling.so i then had to add a cooling fan.now shes good. lol

the thing i like about the 18t esc is its small.

Default radio package

Another alternative is through www.towerhobbies.com they have Futaba electronics package for about $80.00, which includes 2 CH. RADIO ESC, receiver, and one servo. Not a bad price and they work great, I put them in my 1/18th csale crawler.

Thanks for the offer but my axle went in yesterday for a $500 rebuild so this crawler has been put on pause. I took my "links"(turnbuckles) and put em back on my T-Maxx and have been drivin that the past few days to get my rc fix lol.
