Default i think i killed my baby

i was playing around on the rocks and it took a good hard hit to the electronics (still dont have a body on it)..

but it ran fine after that...

then i was driveing it around on flat ground.....it just stopped dead in its tracks, no signs of battery getting low or anything like that......i played around with the wires for a second and it started working but only worked for about 5 seconds and died again.....

anyone had anything like this happen before?

o yah and instead of the normal buzzing comeing from the front end, its a really high pitched whistling type sound.....

i think im gonna put a little rollbar over them for now....just a piece of flat metal, but its better than them getting bashed off the rocks.....

actually, scratch that.....im going to walmart tomorrow, so i am going to pick up one of those clear plastic fishing organizers and put the electronics in that.....just dril a few holes in the top for ventilation...then they are completely protected....

you should make a body out of a clear 2 litre coke bottle juts to save the electronics for the time being.

about the organizer thing, does it have a lid on it, or is it just glued in place over the circuitboards?

what're the dimensions of it? do the circuitboards fit really tight or do they flop around a bit?

they flop around a bit if they aren't held in with something.....you could put a little piece of foam or something in there and it would be perfect, but i just put a little dab of hotglue in 2 corners of each board....

the lid is 3.75" wide and 6.5" long....the base is about an 1/8" smaller both ways....

it came from the fishing section at walmart....
