Default Honest price?

So I've been looking for a scx10 roller for a bit and I've gotten some high priced quotes, so I'm wanting to ask is what is a honest and best price for a bone stock and used scx10 chassis, axles, and tranny? Without electronics, wheels, and tires on it.
Just trying to save money and not get screwed.

Edit: to show where I keep thinking the price should be is around $100 to at most $135, I can understand a higher price if it had vp gear or something along that line.

Are you talking links, shocks and bumpers, too?

Your best bet might be to buy the kit, Axial SCX10 Trail Honcho Kit, and sell off the wheels/tires, body and any other parts you might not want, like light buckets.

I would love to but I just don't have the money for that, that was why I had been searching for a bone stock roller ish(minus the rolling from the tires and wheels lol)
I asked one of the guys at my hobby shop and he even said a bone stock one should only be $130 at most, so I'm just trying to get info because there is one deal that I was thinking on doing but it's still a bit high of a price to me for just getting a chassis with axles and a tranny and it's all used and bone stock

he may say that but you dont see a whole lot of them for sale that cheap do you ? id say expect anywhere between 150 and 170. 130 your either getting realy lucky or someone elses problems. i usualy just buy the stock kit when rpp has them on sale for like 215 and part out the stuff i dont want 35$ for the wheels and tires 20$ for the body. and your brand new and at around 160

Unfortunately, real good deals would be 40 for a chassis, 25 for a trans and 50 for axles. You're at 115 right there with no shocks or links. 135-150 is a fair range depending on part condition.

Or just go to rpphobby's salvage yard and build it from scratch.

I mean personally
Axles are $70.00
Shocks $30.00
The chassis with the skid and braces $65.00

Now that's new

All those parts are good useful items.
hell, I've been searching for a so so chassis to build a frame for my new 2.2

I find building from scratch is more cost effective to be honest with ya.
plus you get what you want

People who post their stuff here in the classifieds are crazy, they are trying to sell their used trucks for the same price you can buy a new RTR. Don't even waste your time with the classifieds, just buy a new one.

I agree somewhere in the $150 range is the going price for everything together. If you get one part here and one part there and wait for good deals you can get it together for a little cheaper but not that much. I have decided to skip the SCX-10 chassis and skid, with $15 of material and a little time I can build one perfect for the body.

I will say that the classifieds are great on here, I have gotten some great deals! I recently picked up 7 brand new axial axles for $120 shipped from Canada...Try and get that deal somewhere else! Now i just have to get building cuz I got 2 pairs and 1 extra axle ready to put under something, if only I could find a deal that good on some other stuff!

This is right around what I was thinking. I think I know what you want this for, so new parts probably aren't needed. I think if you can find one in good condition for around $140, you are doing pretty good.

I've been searching for months for a decent scx10 rtr truck, people are asking $200-250 for beat up rollers with no electronics, realistically a roller scx10 should be $100-120 and a rtr should be $180-200(shipped) considering the retail price on a new rtr is $280(with free shipping in some places). And upgrades don't magically add value to your rig, if you spent $200 on upgrades you realistically should only be getting a $100(at most) return on your investment.

The key word there is should. The fact that he can't find one in that price range is because other people are willing to buy them for more, so that's what they are selling for. It all depends on what others are willing to spend.

Also this had been discussed and rccrawling is a bit different when it comes to selling, upgrades actually do add value to the rig, that's why you'll see rollers costing almost as much as a rtr, that was why I had specify a bone stock roller
