Were is a good place to order nice aluminum hex bolts and nylon nuts from to replace my stainless steel ones that are on my berg. I'm trying to cut some weight. |

Tower Hobbies, McMaster, Microfasteners are some sources. RC4WD has some Titanium stuff. Ti is much stronger than Al, but you don't save as much weight, and they are even more expensive. | |

| Yup!
I'm using aluminum for the body, and will stay with the stainless on the links or go with titanium. |

I'd just be careful as they're easy to cross thread, gall, or strip Not sure what a Berg is, but on a crawler, I don't think the ounce or less you'll save will matter. Street racing yes, crawler no |

what they said..aluminium is orders of magnitude weaker than stainless, and in the quantity you're talking about the weight difference would be virtually unnoticeable on your vehicle. Unless it's an exercise to see how light you can actually get it, the potential for problems outweigh the benefits. |
