Default Crawler for a kid

I am looking for a crawler of some sort in the $100-150 range for my 6 year old daughter to drive around while we are out playing in the rocks. Needs to be able to do mild trail work and be a little tough as she is just learning, Any suggestions?

I'd say a AX10. You can pick up a good used one from the Classified section for about that much. When you get it, gear it way down or put a 55/65T motor on it and you'll be good!

Go with a solid 2.2 like a AX10 or LNC. A friend of mine let his boy run a MRC and he broke just about every moving part in the truck in a matter of minutes.

I would suggest a redcat rs10 for bang for the buck also a MOA RIG they are great there are a few guys that did 540 conversions and a punk dig and can whoop up on a few of the bergs. you will need to replace the stock steering servo though other then that ive seen them run hard and put away working

i have one that i mess around with and they are very capable and plenty for what you're doing, and if you want to play it EXTREMELY safe you can unlock the diffs to keep her from breaking axle-shafts. but down the road you can upgrade it as well.

I dont know if venom fixed this or not? But i had a first round creeper, they are awsome performing once tuned. I had alot of problems with the axles. breaking pins, shafts also keeping the diffs locked was almost impossible. for your daughter it could be good, but long story short mine ended up with axial axles under it then never another problem thanks axial for being awsome!!!

correctly stated. mine have served me well, i don't believe its the 1st gen though. and i have an ax-10 and will admit it is a better kit. but for his situation i think the creeper will be the best fit.

Do they make the Venom Creeper in anything but a kit (besides the Safari)? Would like to have a RTR version.

A Rtr creeper is around 250+ for that money get her an axial if you want cheap Rtr get a redcat rs10 you will only need to change the steering servo, and there under 200 rtr

what this guy said-just replace the servos with some 15kg's from hobypartz $12 a peice, remove stock foams and beat the crap out of it-no shafts no joints to twist or come apart
