Yeah that would be quite the score, no idea where to begin looking for something like that. Plus I am WAY to impatient to wait to find something like that. I want benches completed by the end of the weekend.

Do you like really dry clothes? Or is the second dryer going to be part of the workbench area?

Looking good, should be killer when done. My third bedroom is a RC / mtn bike / gun disaster area. I'll probably lose it to one of my girls soon.....

Hmm, drop ceiling. Did you screw the top plate to the grid?
Nice layout and climate controlled. Can't ask for much more than that.

I don't know how to do laundry really Not even joking. When I was married my wife did it. When I was single I either had GF's do it or took it to a service. Now the latest GF does it The extra dryer was there when I bought the house, it's since been removed.

I told the GF yesterday "look I build you a shop too!" *points to laundry room*

I am way more funny then she thinks I am

Nope, that was one of the battles. I didn't want to remove the ceiling so we floated the top and anchored the base plate and walls into the concrete with Tapcons. The laundry room wall doesn't have any depth so isn't as rock solid as the utility room. However once I get benches and storage shelves built from it the whole thing should be like a rock.

Looks great josh when I bought my house the garage became a project area for 1:1 trucks and then the 3rd bedroom turned into the train/computer room/rc room.. Btw do you have a way to get a bike in there with out disassembling the whole thing?

The mill has a cutting area of 15"X 9"Y 6"Z.

Works well for about anything RC related.

Thanks!

Yup it's got a great half flight of stairs with a small landing to the outside. It's considered a "Walk Up" basement, not quite a walk out. It's nice and wide too. I can get my Hayabusa down it with a nice ramp. It's easier then loading in a full size truck.

That's a whole separate dedicated space. Wouldn't want to dirty up a clean space (not sure which way that goes though).

Man, after enjoying your build threads and learning from your research over the years, I see this thread about you framing out and finishing a basement....I admire your skills!

I'm far from a carpenter, but isnt any wood touching concrete supposed to be pressure treated? Or is that a New England thing.
you are correct. according to code it has to be treated. the reality is i have seen basement framed in the 60's with plain framing that touched concrete and were fine. i just hope harley anchored it down well and put some braces above the drop ceiling so the laundry room wall doesnt flop around when the door opens and closes.
i have a unfinished room in my basement, i should set up a little something down there. its way closer to the bar than my office is.

Looking at the design and I noticed a glaring oversight.

No stripper pole or wall of mirrors!?

I'm sure you'll address this issue in a expeditious manner.
