Default bearings

so the other day while i was working on the rig, i got to thinking about bearings, so i got to searching and obviously fast eddy came up, i have his wraith bearing kit and love it, but i noticed on his site he has rubber sealed and metal shielded versions of his bearings, so the question popped into my head . . . .why the difference and what are the pro's and con's of each. so here i am, i wanted to get everybody's opinion and .02 on this subject.

thanks

Chappy

I did the same thing as you. Bought the Wraith bearing kit and looked at the rubber sealed bearings. Even bought some of the outer knuckle ones since those will be the most subjected to water. So, I'm also interested in the pros and cons here.

thanks for the info 3six, so i guess im not too worried about bearing drag since we are going slow, and we are subject to more dirt and grime than other areas of the hobby (save for off-road and short course) so i guess a rubber sealed bearing sounds pretty good to me eh?
