My ORV Park build. Just got back into crawling, but here in L.A. (lower Arkansas) there isn't a whole lot of places to go. So I have been wanting to get started on a little place to crawl at home. So I got some flagstone from a hobby shop that got out of crawling and some rocks from a buddy. It looked like this when I started. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08570.jpghttp://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08571.jpg More pics to come as I get some work done tonight. |
Here are a couple if pics of my progress. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08619.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08621.jpg So far so good. I have to think about two 100 pound dogs too as I build this. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. |
Forgot this one. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08616.jpg Not sure what I am going to do around the drains. |
its a good start. for around the drain, build yourself a little bridge to over it that way you hide the drain but it still works as one. on my course (posted in the general discussion section called "my slow crawling course build") i only have to worry about a 600lb cow and a llama getting into it!! |
Looks like its coming along well! Id also suggest doing a small bridge over the top of your drain as well. You could make a small suspension bridge over it so then you would have a more challenging object to use. Good luck! "thumbsup" |
The weather has been a little rough but I got in a little time to work on my project here are some pics. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08718.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08722.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08721.jpg Here Are some pics of my Honcho on the rocks. It is a work in progress too. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08716.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08732.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08720.jpg Here is one of my drains. I stacked rock on it for now, but I am working on a bridge to put over it. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08728.jpg It is coming together ok. The first thing I noticed is that I need more 'rocks'. Thanks for all of the comments and suggestions. |

Great work. Really like the changes in materials and use of mulch. It's not easy getting a good rc course put together and still make things look natural and landscaped. |
Thanks. I was trying to make it 'blend' with the house. I will get some more pics of the whole project later today when it clears up. |
Here are a couple of pictures of the almost finished bed. Just a little more rock and mulch to get it right. One of my supervisors is checking out my progress.http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08739.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC08741.jpg I am going to try to build my first bridge this weekend. Hopefully I can get some pics of my sons dingo and my honcho on the rocks. Thanks for looking. |
Re: My ORV Park build. Any updates mate, thinking of doing something similar and looking at ideas for my course. |
Re: My ORV Park build. I am actually working on the end by the air conditioner. t has alot of slope and I am working to make it drain better. We have had some serious rain here and it needs help keeping it from backing up with water. |
Re: My ORV Park build. Looks really nice, actually. I'm still gathering ideas for when the weather cooperates, so I'm loving these kinda threads |
