Default CowRC Magnetic R/C Flat Mat Review

Heath sent me some flat mats to play with and do a review. You will also see the new pit banner also. What I receive was the Mini - 12" deep x 18" wide, 14" organizational palette & Micro - 9" deep x 12" wide, 9" organizational palette.

When I got them in the mail. It was cold outside and they were stiff and wouldn't stay flat. As they warmed up they flattened right out.

Note that if you take these to a cold weather comp lay them out in your warm vehicle for a little bit.

They come with bands for when you want to rolled them up which makes a nice touch instead of having to use rubber bands or Velcro straps.

Here is a side by side shot with regular mini mat & flat mat. They are the same size. Flat mat has a lot more work area with out the foam.

Here is a side by side shot with regular micro mat & flat mat. They are the same size. Flat mat has a lot more work area with out the foam also.

I have the regular Jumbo mat that stays on my work bench. Travel with my mini and micro to comps. If I need to work on my rigs. I also use them on my coffee table a lot also during the winter months when my garage is to cold to work in.

Both mats seem to have the same holding ability for screws. I couldn't get a stainless steel one to stick up and stay. E-clips are a bugger to get off the original mats with the flat mats you can slide them off the edge.

I like the flat mats since they take up less space then the original ones and give you more work space. I still will use both the original ones are nice when you want to keep parts together in foam storage area.

Mini mats is great for mini crawlers or 2.2 or rebuilding axles.

Micro mats are great when your changing tires around.
