Dig servo issues

I have searched and not found anyone with my issue. I have burned up 3 mini servos on my VP dig. I set end points to the point of engagement with no noise or binding. Ive been using hitec minis i think hs5245mg. Would a BEC help. Im kinda at the point of removing my dig so I can actually have a rig I can run all the time and not always be broken. Im running 7.4 lipos, holmes ESC. I feel like an idiot, never had any issues figuring out how to keep something working.

Even though the endpoints are set right you have to pay attention to when the dig COMPLETELY engages. When the tires are bound it can cause the dig to bind a bit and sometimes not fully engage. So the servo will heat up trying to force full engagement. I was running a mini HS-225MG on my VP and noticed it getting hot also. Its a good idea to keep an eye on that especially if the rig is sitting idle for any period of time with power on.

Switch to a 225 or comparable servo... I had a few of those 5245 and they both burnt up in minutes...

I could never get a mini servo to last through a whole comp without burning it up. Nobody else seemed to have a problem with the servos going bad that fast. Eventually I just put a full sized servo on the dig and that was the end of it.
