crazy idea
 

I was showing a non-rc geek my crawler project, and he showed me his robot/laptop project. I cannot find the link anymore. I got thinking and if you could build a 4 link suspension and attach it to a lan case, you could build a stair crawling home entertainment hub. I have a week in Mexico to think about it, but I have to finish my clod first. I wonder if Kongs would be big enough, and wtf to run for axles? I am headed to frys to find a small case to put in my entertainment center. Someday I should put it on wheels.

Me thinks you need to log off the computer for a few months and get a breath of fresh air! :P

I think Jasonin... made one. Took a 1:6 avalanch body, stuffed a PC in in and threw clod axles under it. I think I saw it on afterdawn.com's forums? I think he also posted a link in the clod section a while back too?.

But if you wanted to go just geek, Id say use a mini PC (those little cube ones, I cant think of the name) and clod axles.

Yes, a small LAN case, and some clod axles, but I would need it to be wider then that. I just program it and let it run, keep control from my laptop, and use it as traveling data storage. Mostly I would try to build it to drive my wife over the edge.
