I used scale brass from a model air plane store. Easy to bend and Super easy to braze. And when you scratch it after a wile it Rusts ( or oxidises ) like are lady liberty. Kinda orange green My roof rack on my cco1 is brass . Super real dents and damage |

my rock sliders arent that heavy actually.. i havent built the exo yet but plan on starting it very soon now that i have some more brazing rod and an extra tank of oxygen. here's a couple pics of my rock sliders, they are mig welded together. if you look in the 2.2 scale builds section there are some vendors that mig weld their custom chassis' together. i didnt actually weigh my sliders but they are probably only maybe 1oz each. the long pieces are 1/4" solid rod and the short ones are 3/16th.. if i steal my weighted rims off my ax10 and toss them onto my honcho then onto the scale it only weighs in at like just under 7lbs. each front wheel has 7oz and 4oz in each rear wheel so its quite a bit. |
