"thumbsup" so this is my old school-ish scale build. just got the rails today. i've had the axles for a looooong time and they have been sitting. Sitting and staring at me. I figure i can't neglect them anymore.... Specs -PTI Axles (aluminum knuckle mod, hardened gears, and traxxas driveshaft mod) -Pede tranny (i have to re-assemble it still) -SCX-10 Chassis -F350 hardbody (not pictured as i didnt get it yet lol) just a teaser shot of the parts http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMAG0609.jpg |

Re: Old School-ish Scale Build i did some tinkering around the past two nights. obviously the shocks are too short. but i wanted to see it kinda stand on it's own. ;-) it looks like with some trimming, the tranny will sit in there pretty good. i also found that i will have to make a skid. the mounting holes on the pede tranny are a lot wider than the axial tranny. i still need some new bearings for the tranny. i also have to lock the diff. there's a 70t motor in there now as i have no idea if this will be a fast or slow combination of axles and tranny lol. http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMAG0620.jpg http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMAG0621.jpg |

Re: Old School-ish Scale Build i got the hardbody and shocks at my local clubs fun crawl/swap meet. F350 hardbody and the roll cage. both used, obviously lol. it needs to be sanded and then filled in with some body putty. then i will repaint it. not too sure on the color yet. the roll cage is made of steel. so i will glass bead that and powder coat it. the body and cage are 2 seperate pieces. the cage will be directly bolted to the frame rails. the body will be mounted one way or another. i scored a brand new set of G-Made G-Transition shocks too. i assembled them and it was obvious they were to good of a shock to go on this build. So they went to the XR10 and the shocks on the XR10 went to this build. The shocks pictured are the shocks that were on the XR10. They are stock SCX10 shocks...anyway, the pics... http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMAG0674.jpg http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMAG0673.jpg |
