It says they are perfect for Rockcrawling, and Drag racing! hahaha, how can the same motor be perfect for both of those things? I don't think they'd do any good at all for crawling, they are 7turns, most of us use 55 turns. The lower the turns, the less torque, more rpm. The higher the turns, then more touque, less rpm. |

If you want 5 minute run times and to tear anything apart... Yes. They are racing motors, not crawling motors. Awesome motors though nonetheless! |

those motor are perfect for crawling...they use them alot in truck pull. they have about 4 times the torque of a mag mayhem. they dont make them anymore. sometimes hooters chassis sells them...

Russel, I'd like to see you gear down a 35k rpm motor Even then, yes, you will have more power than you need.... and a 5 minute run time. YAYYYY.... I ran 12Ts for a while and got about 15-20 minutes run time. With dual 3AH batteries. So, they can *work* for crawling with a lot of reduction. But there are MANY motors that are better. |

I am just saying that if i was using some serious gear reductions i would rather use motors like the ones mentioned rather than lower rpm motors. Using higher rpm motors with gobs of reduction would give you plenty of power with next to no stall and with comps running for between 10 and 15 minutes who cares about run times ,unless you are a girls blouse and just go driving in the park and chase dogs. Horses for courses .. |

What do most of the 1:1 rock buggies use for motors? Small 4cyl, motors out of sport compact cars. Designed for high rpm and geared down. Would I use a 7 turn motor? No Would I recommend a 7 turn motor? No Would I consider a 7 turn motor a crawler motor? No Would I like to see someone make it werk? HELL YEA!!! Everyone bitches about the comp rules restricting creativity, not as much as the people, I say. Greddy, buy em if you want to spend some coin on gear reductions and a high dollar ESC. Then experiment. If you dont want to experiment, listen to the others. Simple as that. |

| what 7 turn motors
these are not crawler motors .if you think they are then YOU JUST DONT GET IT. and explaining becomes a waste of time high rpm and gobs of reduction will just add more torque twist which is not wanted ,and people go to great lengths to get rid of. just my opinion and everyones entitled to it. That was back in 2004. By now everyone knows about brushless and the lathe motors. |

I have some 7t motors that are great for crawling. I bet those ebay motors were astro pullmasters.
