However if your wanting better steering then what you have the next step is using the parts needed and upgrading to 300HD which will allow for the additional steering.

| Re: Super 300/300HD's I know Christian had put them out a while back. They were basically his standard AX Knuckle with longer tabs for the kingpins. If he does 't have them in stock, it shouldn't be too hard for him to make them. OH, and I had heard there was a 300HD failure at PCC. Is this true? Last edited by TSK; 06-18-2012 at 03:40 PM. |

I found the typo that I think was causing the confusion and fixed it. Should have read VP AX-10 8* "c's"(chub) with wraith/XR knuckles Quote:

the builders are 6.5 inners and should work good for that. I still want to get ahold of a bully super axle and do the conversion. just havent had the time to track them down. Quote:
A guy had a set of the Falsenfet knucks at PCC and we put a shaft in. All looked good, so I would give them a , Now weather they are available or not im not sure Quote:
Not a ChanceThe shafts laughed at the thought and then the tube end broke off of the wraith housing, despite Krawlfreaks best effort. Great comp for any of ya that missed it killer spot. I'm doing a little re-design on the housing to hopefully fix the issue. All of the steering can apply a huge amount of leverage on the housing .

Will beef tubes help? My Wraith axled sportsman has a considerable amount of steering angle, but I haven't had issues like that yet,but I do have beef tubes installed. Or was it a VP housing that broke? Last edited by TSK; 06-18-2012 at 06:07 PM.

With the falsenfet knuckle (straight kingpin for wraith/xr shaft) and axial standard (straight kingpin) chubs there is no need for the adapters Last edited by SDS Customz; 06-20-2012 at 02:39 PM.

i ripped the chub and housing apart on johns sportsman and the shaft survived, my xr did break but the 300hd shafts never even made it into the truck because i was working on my super. i actuallybroke the locker itself

the h/r gears in the xr, i believe i splayed the locker gear open where the axle shaft inserts, i will get it apart and inspect it further. there will be an update in my thread about that

none of the HD series would fit. You would have to change to a wraith/xr style knuckle to be able to fit a HD. Ill send you a pm with the options

You might be able to clear up some of this confusion by posting up pics of calipers measuring the space between the chub/knuckle on both setups. Narrow space-Standard 300 Wider space- 300HD Personally, I got the differences right away, so no cunfusion here. |
