Basically want the wraith center and scx10 width. Hate the 2 piece scx10 housings....makes diff maintenance annoying! | |

Unless you want plastic housings to save money, then I can just narrow them. It's the same $50 as a normal plastic Wraith width centered diff. Parts not included. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose |

Could you possibly shave the gear housing on the aluminum VP ax10 axles? or maybe do a hybrid plastic pumpkin / steel tube ax10 axle with some higher than stock clearance? Last edited by ScaleDustin; 07-09-2012 at 11:00 PM. |

Well you officially don't have a southern build without these. Just sayin!! Just need to weld link mounts on the rear and build the front. Replaced as much hardware as I could with the new scale hardware. BlackRock 60 rear housing Carter Fab & Machine: Hand Made Customs |

| Here's what's next folks. These next 3 custom housings will be up for sale as soon as they are completed. I ordered a bunch of stuff, combined with left over mock up parts(new), to make some stuff that hasn't been made, but there is definitely a home for these. First one will be a centered diff, Wraith width, steering axle. Can be used front or rear, but designed for rear application to help you reach that extra bit of scale. All plastic housing. Can also run lockouts and make it non steering in the future. Comes with Axial Universals custom fit for this housing, stock plastic c hubs and knuckles. You will need everything else to make it complete. Designed to use the VP AX-10 axle truss(vps0441) and VP AX-10 servo mount(vps04451). The next 2 housings will be SCX-10 width, centered diffs. Will come with Axial Wraith Universals for the steering axle and designed to use the Wraith c hubs and knuckles or XR-10. The rear axle will be locked out and use Wraith lockouts. Included with the housings are axle shafts and rear lockouts. You will need everything else to complete. Designed to use the VP AX-10 axle truss(vps0441) and VP AX-10 servo mount(vps04451). Updates to come next week with pics and finished housings. Pm me for pricing and dibs. I will post up if one gets spoken for. There are only the above 3 available at this time. Thanks Clay Carter Fab & Machine: Hand Made Customs |

Been doing some measuring. To get them SCX/AX-10 width it will require more machining than I'm willing to put in them for the price. The problem are the link mounts. There you can see that the link mount on the new housing needs to be brought over a bit and that requires drilling new holes and milling flats for the link mounts. What I can do is make the housing .625(5/8") wider than the stock SCX/AX-10 housing and not have to do more work. So that would add .3125(5/16) to each side. It will take 2 housings just like the centered diff for the wraith but a lot less work. But then you will also have to modify 2 long side shafts again, which is getting away from what I was hoping to just use the short side shafts from the wraith. So I guess its once again up in the air for the end user. Anything is possible but nothing is gonna just fall in place like I had hoped. I will build whatever you want, just take into consideration the above mentioned Carter Fab & Machine: Hand Made Customs |
