| need some new shocks
I need some shocks for my crawler, i want to get some savage shocks, I've heard lots of the guys say that shocks leak and some leak more than others. i know it doesn't matter what ones i get they will leak eventually, but what i want to know is there any certain brand of savage shock that i should stay away from? i 'm on a lower budget (xmas) so i don't want to get anything thats going to be to hard on the wallet. |

Try Ebay. You cannot beat some of the deals there some times.

I got the cheapest Savage shocks I could find, plastic, POS. Not a drop out of them. Personally I think all the people that say they leak have no clue and just say that because someone else did. |

While your there, pick up the blue MIP shock o-rings and throw away the stock ones. The MIP are softer and last a lot longer without leaking, the stock orange ones are the exact opposite.

what are you useing them if its a clod you might want to go with something shorter like 1/8 scale rear shocks, losi rears, or tmaxx. people who use the savage shocks need to shorten them up a bit. at least in some applications that i see. dont be one of those people

whell, they DO leek! on a savage that is...... . when i had them on my truckzilla they started to leek after a wile, but they were abused so that was no surprise, i've mounted them on my clodcrawler now and there are no problems anymore, they will move a lot but not whit the insane speed they have to when youre driving at full speed with a nitro |

I have found that XTM MAMMOTH shocks are a happy inbetween size. There are two options with those. 1" longer than T-maxx and 2" longer than T-maxx. They worked perfect for me. The savage ones were just abit too long. (Oh by the way The mammoth shocks are threaded alum) Check ebay they go cheep......
