Default Loud R2 tranny w/ disconnect.

I have a R2 tranny with a Novak brushless motor. The tranny sure makes a lot of noise. Wondering if anyone has this same problem or if it's just the way it is.

All the r2s I ever had or ever seen have always been a load transmission because of the course gear pitch the internal gears have, but when the motor pinion mesh is even I little off it will be even louder

Yeah I pulled it apart to see how everything was seated and everything is fine. Guess I just have to live with it.

What type of grease are you putting in it?

I used to have a couple R2 transmissions, and they're a ton louder than an Axial unit... but I do like their metal housing!
