Default Gearing combo.

Will this combo work along with my spare axial 27t motor, Axial Spur Gear 32P 48T AXI30741 and the Axial Pinion Gear 32P 11T Steel 3mm Motor Shaft AXI30722.

Just trying to build for speed and bash around with paddle tires in the rear and dune buddy tires up front.

You're going to have to watch the temps. That's not much reduction and those stock motors are pretty cheap.

Is there anyway I can add a cooling fan?

Probably not going to solve the issue. Sounds like you need a better system, like a sensored brushless.

Well, since I'm on the budget. I'll stick with brushed motors for now. So, will those gearing work with the stock axial trans plate? Or I may have to slot the holes more the move the motor closer?

You may not even be able to do that. The motor may hit the trans case first. Might step up to a more reasonable size like 56/14. That will provide better tooth contact as well.

I just realized the part number for the spur gear is for the exo terra. Kimbrough 54t Spur sounds like a better choice. I want to be able to keep my slipper clutch. I don't think anything smaller than a 54t will keep the slipper clutch.

Edit: 54t from Kimbrough and 13t pinion from axial, both are 32P sounds reasonable? Along with the stock axial 27T.
