Yeah.... Its the 1:1 rig that has the top. Wish they copied it since it would look badass. But just leaves Dinky and RC4WD a part to make....

When a kid goes to buy one of these he/she wants something they'd love to have a 1:1 of. 99% of them don't know what a Land Rover Defender is and a hacked up Toyota isn't really on the list. A badass Jeep? Yes sir!

Axial introduced a solid scaler that kids are going to want.

Hopefully they'll introduce something new for us as well. I'd love a furious KOH hybrid IFS/Solid axle rig from them!

IMO ... Axial should have came with a new body design too that has not been done in the scale world! I hope Axial step there game up ASAP !

Sheesh...another jeep:( I was hoping for a pick up body or something non-internationalish or different.
Don't get me wrong, I think some jeeps are cool or badass (especially you guys with the custom jeep builds)but I'm not a big jeep fan and yes I'm an American. Theres just sooo many jeep builds (also yotas) out there that it's hard to tell the difference between them most of the time...hell my buddy built a new jeep (not really custom, mostly store bought parts)a few weeks ago and showed it to me...I thought "meh..I seen that already" but it was still cool, just not interesting.
Trepadors??? Really?? I used to have hpi blitz tires on my sc rig and they would just pack with dirt very badly even while driving slow and no, I didn't try to rock crawl with it so I wouldn't know if they would've worked good for rocks (I doubt it). However the Axial compound may be softer and work a lot better but I'm not into the design cuz its already been done by HPI. Imo, I think they shouldve went with a tire and body that haven't been seen in this market. I do believe they did it this way for marketing to attract more new people into the hobby which is great and for cost effectiveness in this poor economy without making a lot of changes to a proven platform and risk losing money on it cuz as with most businesses they are trying to stay afloat.
This is my opinion/rant and I'm sticking to it.
Damn I write a lot when I'm on my phone too:mad:

As a complete RTR package, I like it. It would have been nice to make some narrowed Wraith style axles w/ a centered rear pumpkin to really push it into the 'scale' realm but as it sits, the body is very cognizable to almost anyone on the face of the earth and most new comers won't know what details to nit pick about so I'd think that this rig will sell well for Axial.

I have never really done much for scaling. Honestly the closest I have gotten to a scaler was in wraith purchases, but I like this so much I will buy one. It just seems more "finished" if that makes sense. I like everything about it. I bet it will bring alot of people over to this side with it's great looks and finishing touches. It will need a little motor/esc lovin I imagine to suit me, but that is half the fun. Isn't it?

I like it! Smart move to use an existing platform and good for the consumer since we won't have to wait for the aftermarket to catch up.

Looks like it points out at about -20 stock.

With just a little work, it could be a -40 point truck.
(Scale accessories, Chassis mounted servo, winch, Torso up figures, roof rack, inner fenders, and plastic sliders from a Honcho).
-42 with metal sliders.

It's interesting. I currently DON'T do scalers (nothing wrong with them, just too much to do at this time....) and I could see getting this PROVIDED I could get it minus electronics.

1-I have multiple motors
2-I have multiple ESC's
3-I have multiple servos
4-I have a couple radios that could be used with this (likely hacked GT3B).

So, for me, if I could get it for ~$200, I would do it. Yes, I could sell off the OEM electronics, but that's a bother as well.

Not even close to anything I was hoping for!!!! Yes it will sell and was probably a smart move by axial but for me its just another jeep. I have never been too fond of jeeps (other then total custom ones) cause there are so many around that its ya seen one ya seen them all kinda idea. I for one will not be buying this rig lets hope what others have hinted at that more is coming!!!
