I also did dezfans stealth mod of 100 grit sand paper!

I've tried the sand paper but it slipped so I JB welded it. And another way to skin a cat.. so to speak.

I didn't want the revo yokes on it as I wanted to keep it scale looking as it was going on my Trail beater. While testing it broke so I needed something stronger.

I just remove the material on opposite side of the inside of a maxx female shaft. Then it slides right over the outdrive and is a snug enough fit that it doesn't need a pin. If you need a pic I can show you.

I put allen wrenches in each outdrive and used all my strength and wouldnt slip, then I put it on my TLT, and grabbed on tire, it will start spinning, no slip at ALL!

That looks great, it seems people keep making these but no one offers them for sale.

start with a smaller bit and work up to the size you need. I thought you knew someone with a drillpress. you know your welcome to use it whenever you need it.

I just remove the material shown in the pic on the female maxx shaft all the way down. Leave the other opposite ones because they slide into the slots on the output cups.I used to use a razor of sort but I recently used a soldering iron.

***DO NOT try this if you do not have very good command of a soldering iron!!!***

You will riun the shaft if you are not careful. Obviously cut it to the size of the output shaft before removing the material and watch for gear clearance issues. You may have to grind the Aluminum away a bit for clearance as well on the spur side. It is a snug fit and you can add a drop of CA if you want. I have never had any issues with this mod. I also use a PVC pipe cutter for cutting shafts. Cuts fast and clean and no more burrs.

Well it worked when I would try to move it with my hands, then I was couch crawling to test everything out cause it was 1am and when it would get in a difficult spot it would only spin the front or rear. Added the JB weld and it doesn't do it anymore.
I was running a 90t spur and a 13t pinion with a 45 lathe?

roydelburg - I could use one or two of those.

Rizzo I like the mod as well.

Roydelburg, do you have any plans to sell any of those spools? It looks like the perfect solution to my tranny problem.

With all the people using this tranny in crawlers, why doesn't one of the crawler shops offer something like this for sale?
