Default Home Made links

I am trying to make links for my SCX10. I know that everybody says traxxas ball ends, but what size brake line do you use, or do you use something other then brake line. Also what size threaded rod do you use? Thanks.

8/32 threaded rod with 1/4" brake line. Try home depot for the threaded rod, they were the only ones that had it when i made mine. I used revo rod ends.

Ace hardware. Grab some 8-32 all-thread and then go to the section where they have the small brass, aluminum and stainless tubes. There's an aluminum tube that sleeves the 8-32 perfectly. Or, there's a combination of brass tube and stainless tube that makes a nice, strong link that slides over rock like butter. (Brass tube slides inside the stainless.)
