Default vanquish 4 link mount

I feel like an idiot but does the Vanquish 4-link truss work on the stock SCX axles? I thought they did but notice that they mound different. Has anyone had any success in mounting them to the stock axles?

The axial 4-link mount is the strongest best designed one.Just by looking at it you can see how it makes the whole axle more rigid, the other ones i've seen look like crap you just attach on.
