| New Project Begins!!! (UPDATED...FINISHED W/ ACTION PICS!!!)
Here's the werd: I'm using locked emaxx centersections with X-Factor axle shafts and knuckles. I will be using maxx wheel adapters and some aluminum rims. These axles will be going under a rockraider chassis(soon as I get an e-mail fom em) with savage shocks and emaxx tranny. Axles will be 4-linked, links will be made out of 3/8 aluminum with 3/16 bore x 10/32 heims. Tires will probably be the lst's or the ones off of the Raptor. So heres some pics. Sounds pretty sweet. Just curious.....is it just me, or are your axle tubes kinda jacked up? I mean, they don't look straight. *shrug* Good luck with it, man. DW |

DreamWeaver, yeh the axles tubes look crooked in the pics, must just be the pic, they are straight. They axles are 13" wide. Well as far as the body until I find something else this will do, with a new paintjob of course.

This is is a heavy beotch. But it crawls awesome cause all the weight is so low. It's very stable. I probably have about 8 packs through it so after this weekend I'll give some more imput on its performance.

I like how you did your rod mounts on the chassis. Whats your clearance under diffs?

Jason- Yeh the tranny has all metal insides. If it breaks, oh well I'll put in an emaxx tranny. Adam- I have had that body forever actually probably like 3 years now. Finally figured out something to use it for. |

Carnage report: 1 revo driveshaft 1 X-factor axle shaft I ripped the ears right off of the revo shaft, and the x-factor shaft broke right at the end near the dogbone.Sorry no pics of either didnt have my camera with me today. Willyrocket - I have 3" under the diffs and 5" under center. This thing crawls awesome! I need to put my 1/4 scale servos on and adjust the rear steer linkage, then it should be done for a while. And I have to finish grooving the other three kongs. |
