| delrin or titanium
I am looking to get some new links (blue monkey) for my xr10 and was wondering if there is any benefit one way or the other between titanium and delrin? I like the looks of both but with titanium I could get 1/4 inch lowers! |

Most people say that delrin slides over rocks better.

+1 Delrin will glide better over rocks. I had a set of the Blue Monkey links in Delrin and they were really nice. The only draw back I saw was the uppers would flex some in tight binds. If I would do it all over again I would get some BWD delrin links. Much beefier.

I like the Ti much better than delrin... It slides perfectly fine and it's smaller... Looks nicer than delrin also...

I like the TI links better because they are smaller in diameter, I used 3/16'', and they give you more room to move between the chassis and shocks. Delrin links are bigger and can hit the shocks and limit suspension travel. Just my option.. |

Another for TI links. Looks, strength, spring back, smaller - all around better choice IMO

Go with the Ti links, you will be much happier.. Stronger, lighter, smaller, and they slide over the rocks with ease

I'd go Ti all the way after trying them out on my Wraith...it was a no brainer for my Chaotic XR build. It's just neater, stronger, lighter, and most importantly less thick than delrin. I would use delrin on a sporty or maybe even a trail rig since it's cheaper....but I'd go Ti on a pro rig for sure!

Ok so to seems to be the best option but what about 1/4 inch lowers versus the standard 3/16? Is the extra beef necessary or is 3/16 strong enough?

The xtra beef is way over kill. I run 3/16 front and rear for the lowers and 1/8 on the uppers. Yes they flex a little but, I would rather have a little flex rather than break something because of no flex. You can even do delrin uppers to save even a little more weight up high. sent from Team Angry Birds |

1/4" is way to big IMO... 3/16 is perfect. There's a couple people that run 1/8" front lowers and 3/16" rear... I've haven't seen many people bend 3/16" links...
