Which locker?
 

Probably a whole lot that I'm not aware of but of the ones I know about the two I am shopping it the Vanquish Locker
Vanquish Products Locker for Axial Wraith and AX-10 type axles
and the Hot Racing locker
Hot Racing Axial SCX10 AX10 Wraith Unibody SHD Differential Locker

They are quite a bit different in design and price. It will be going into my Honcho based scaler on the front axle.

Has anyone had problems with the set screws coming loose on the VP? How well does the HR clean up the slop in stock locker?

Any opinions one way or the other? I'm trying to get rid of the slop in the front end. It seems excessive to me.

I have heard good things about that vp locker being top quality like all vp products

I have some of the hot racing lockers and they still have quite a bit of slop. I have not tried the vanquish locker but have heard good things about them.

I have no doubts that the VP are top notch. I'm having a little trouble visualizing the install on a AX/SCX axle. I don't have it in miy hands at the moment but it seems you'd have to have the knuckles and Cs on to set the depth. Not sure if they will slip over the CVDs to put the other half of the axle housing on.

Check out a set of these. While VP does make good products if I were gonna do lockers, these would be it hands down.

I've tried the HR ones and they have more slop that my stock axial lockers.I have the vp ones now,these are great lockers.If I was going to do it all over, I'd give these a shot.I like how they have grub screws on both sides.

Well here is my plan. I ordered an HR locker since TCS has them at a good deal and I'll see how that one goes. If it doesn't work as well as I want I'll move it to the rear axle and put a VP up front.

I'm going VP on the wraith and fenselfest on the scx :)
