Default cutting a MIP driveshaft

i need a 2.8"rear shaft for my 6x6, can i cut a mip shaft that 3.5" down to 2.8?

No, not enough spline to chop that much, you will need to change at least one end of the shaft.

Spend a little time on MIPs web site.
They have drawings for a lot of the shafts that show the length extended and retracted.
Or drop them an email. I did, they called me, I gave them the info, and they told me exactly what parts I needed to have my driveshaft length I needed.
