Re: Pajero

Why are these so popular? I can't find one that looks like a crawler. Really I have only seen a few in action, like that one for the "Top truck challenge" deal.

Re: Pajero

im only ogin for it becuase of the scale look...and its cheaper than a TLT and alot less work

Re: Pajero

I agree they look very cool. Just never seen one "crawl" myself.

Yeah... They're not crawlers in the terms we're used to. They are very cool looking, way scale, and pose a challenge in even the simplest of terrain!

Re: Pajero

I'm modifiying one now. We have a guy in Utah who crawls with us and has a modded Pajero and with a set of Geolanders and a streched WB it does suprisingly well.

I think there are some vids here of Pajero based vehicles here...maybe it's been a while.

Re: Pajero

Actually they are not that bad of a crawler , in any aspect, they just cant handle the big big stuff, but it sure will try... put some 2.2's and lock both diffs.. you can also 4 link the rear end and trim the the chassis up front so the tires have more romm to flex. ..they do a descent job.. and if you are going for more of a scale look, you can go with the HPi Super Nitro Rims and some dirt hawg II tires...

Ill post a couple of pics of the jeros I used to have...

FOUND THEM ....

Re: Pajero

They're mostly just alot of fun to drive, the power to wieght ratio is great and the COG is great to. Mine does really well considering the heigth of the tires, these things are what a 2.2 crawler is to a maxx hybrid

Here's a realitively short vid of mine (bout a minute long) that I did a little while back when we had some snow...

Re: Pajero

I took some pics of my Pajero Metaltop last night. (The chassis is the same as the Pajero XB on ebay) As you can see I modified the rear and the front suspension to give it a lift and more articulation.

BTW the one on ebay has a reserve of $175.

Re: Pajero

wow thats what i want to do to mine, but whats the differnce between a "metal" top and the other one with a resserve for 250???and are they gonna stop selling them???beucase im not gonna buy now since ineed to dish out 480 bucks for a new veiwfinder camera...

and pinchflat that is one sick truck, and basicly thats what i want mine to turn out like...

Re: Pajero

Thanks for the comments... It is real fun to drive.

The Metaltop is the long discontinued kit version of the Pajero XC. It has a hard plastic body. The one on the auction is a RTR version with a lexan body that is hard to find right now. I was told they were dicontinued also but I guess they are just hard to find. Other then the bodies the two are identical.

And the one on ebay, the reserve is only at $175.00. I guess, it you can find one, they retail for about $200+/-.

Fuzzhead -

Your missinformed. Tower hobbies is NOT getting any more of these in stock as they have been discontinued from Tamiya.

Re: Pajero

I didn't, but I had heard that they where still available from Tower so I called them. Then I called Tamiya USA just to confirm.

I hate it when a company post old info :? .
