| Losi 1:24 trail trekker problem.
dont get me wrong i really like this rc. it seems to have two wobbly wheels. if you had a toy grade rc that had a wheel sort of go here and there and move all over you might know what im talking about. the two right ride wheels both the front and the back tend to wobble around. it does not seems to affect it when i am crawling though, but its rather annoying. what would be the cause of that? a misplaced bearing? bent axle? id love to hear from you guys so i can fix this problem. hope you guys understood what im talking about.

If the wheels were fine at first and just became wobbly I'd say you have a couple bent stub axles, they are part number LOSB1737. You can try taking them out and bending them back to straight but you might break them and then you'd be out of commission until you order new ones. If you have a hobby shop close by that sells the Trekker they should stock parts for it.

It could be bent axles (likely, small axle shafts are easy to bend), it could also be the wheels. Try swapping the wheels side to side and see if the wobble is still there on the right side. If it is, pull all 4 wheels and check the free-play on one side vs. the other, this will help isolate axle housing getting loose, bearings missing/failed. If that all looks good, then it's likely a bent axle shaft which likely means the housings have to come apart to try & straighten the shafts. |

okay now this is where it gets fishy. i unscrewed the tires and switched them to the other side. and i noticed the wobbly wheel that was on the right side that i switched to the left side is wobbling. could it be the tire causing this?

i will be sure to check that out when i get some more free time. i have 2 8 hour shifts in a row for the weekend. ill look into it monday. but as i mentioned, it does not seem to affect how it crawls. i was outside earlier today and it wasd crawling fine over appropriate sized rocks.
