Default Is my build possible? 1978 bronco

Me and my sons currently have 3 of the ax10. We just challenge each other for fun at some rocks next to the house. However my son got me watching some videos of some trucks that looked so realistic I could hardly tell the diff. So now I want to build my bronco exact to scale. It's a 1978 full size with 4" lift and 35" mtr goodyears. Should I try to use my ax10 as a base or start fresh with something in a 1.9? Thanks for any input. And i will post some pics of our crawlers and my 1:1 bronco if I can figure it out :-)

Yes. Buy an HPI 79 F150 body, cut the back of the cab and the bed cover off. Either buy an SCX10 or the frame to convert your AX10 over, get some leafs for the rear suspension and build a full interior and your pretty much headed in the right direction!

Thanks for the body info. I found some tires called two face? They look like mtrs so that'd work for tires but rims I need chrome 8 spokes aka wagon wheels. Any ideas there?

My boy just came to me and suggested that I get a cc-01 bronco for the frame and running gear ? Will the hpi body work on there?

The SCX10is a much more capable platform with incredible after market support.

I Wouldn`t go cc01 you`ll out grow it very fast and making it as capable as a scx10 is very difficult
Scx10 all the way

I have a Losi Mini 78 Bronco.
The body was a plastic Bronco sold at Bass Pro and Walmart.

That's awesome. My son has one of those in the back yard. I just wish it was closer to scale.

Scx10 for sure I've never seen a big bronco with independent up front like the cc01 all solid axle is the way to go for scale look and function jmo
