| Super strong alloy servo saver...
Does anyone know of a very strong alloy servo saver? So far my research has thrown up the Kimbrough 124 as a favourite amongst those who run a SS. But its plastic and I'd prefer alloy. Its for a large scale truck I'm building on 40 series wheels/tires, using a Hitec 7980 servo. Normally I wouldnt worry but its using a Summit 2-speed so will have the ability to bash as well as crawl, so thought it best to look after such a spendy servo. Thanks. |

That's a pretty hefty servo. I havent seen servo savers designed for that much torque, not saying they don't exist I just haven't seen them. I tried this for the rear steer on my summit and the futaba s9157 (@425 oz) twisted it with ease so it would defeat the purpose of having such a high torque servo like what you have and I don't recomend it. It's labeled as HD...its not heavy enough. I went with a regular servo horn and haven't had any issues thus far. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Sent from my iPhone using autocorrect |

i'd say you have to build in some type of buggy/truggy servo saver. those ones are about as strong as you will be able to find. or something like the stocks kyosho twin force one. |
