To start off I have been running my Wraith for a year now on a 3 cell lipo with a Pro 4 4000. I have also been running a SuperShafty.com top shaft with 32 pitch Robinson racing slipper and their hardened gears. Well needless to say that all gave up last weekend. Rick at SuperShafty.com told me months ago to ditch the plastic Wraith trans case, because of the chance that the bearings may let go in the plastic case. At the time my only option was to go to a ax10 style trans. Me being me I didn't want to change it. My main reason was that I didn't want to deal with needing a different rear shaft or giving up the spur cover.

So, like Rick warned my idler gear shaft and bearings ended up melting the case and let the gear go nuts destroying all the gears in the trans. Being that was my first G6 style outing I knew I needed more "BEEF". So lucky for me Rick is only 20 minutes from me. The call was made and he said he had the fix.

As you can see from the pics the stock spur cover fits even with the 32 pitch slipper setup. This particular trans was built with HR aluminum trans case and hardened steel gears. The lower gear is a hardened steel Robinson one piece unit. Of course fitted with the SuperShafty.com "BEEFY" top shaft/slipper kit. I will be honest I was a little leary about the HR parts, but after Rick showed me the pieces I was sold. The fit and finish is second to none and I look forward to trying more of their Wraith drivetrain parts
