Exclamation Help 4link

Help!!! having a heck of a time figuring out the 4 link and shocks for this home build. either i get everythign locked up tight and have like no flex or its like a noodle and when I go to climb something the back rolles out and it topples over. This is not my rig but the same chassis for the most part. I water jetted mine out of 1/8 aluminum

Set it up to the point where nothing binds, then if it's to much flex limit the shocks internally and or externally with some nitro fuel line. Works great for me.

Does the chassis have to be the same width as the mounting points on the axle for the 4 link? I think that is one of the points that I am having an issue with. I am using bully axles. In other words does it have to be a streight shot from the axle mount to the chassis mount?

In most setups the lower axle mounts are wider then the chassis so the lower links go in towards the chassis. The uppers should be the opposite.

I do relize that. I guess I should have been more spacific in my discription of the question. for that I am sorry. part of my binding issue is when the axle flexes the lower four link swings in and catches on the chassis causing the binding issue. So what I am asking is if I need to put spacers in to get the knuckle away from the chassis to allow more flex or.....????? I am greatful for all the advise as this is my first home build.

I am also having an issue getting the upper and lower links the right length to allow for drop they seem to continue to bind like the tops are too long or not moved in far enough. even though I set them up so the axle stayed level and spaced them about as far aprt on the chassis as they were on the axle

Sounds to me like you don't have enough triangulation so the axle is walking side to side when you flex. Try moving your uppers outside of the chassis.
