| Who Runs Savage Shocks?
Hello all Grabbed a full set of new Savage shocks with black springs off E-Bay last week. Got a super deal so I couldn't pass 'em up. Thinking about using on my project I am working on and maybe adapt to my TXT. My question is, who is running Savage shocks and how? I have a Savage but forgot how long these boogers are. Might need to invent some shock towers that poke out of the hood and bed of the body Pictures would be cool too if anyone runs 'em. |

i used to run them on my buggy, but they were just too long.i have a set of Maxx shocks on it now and with the right placement, i can still get the same travel |

Kinda figured Savage shocks were just overkill. However, I got 8 brand new ones with black springs and a set of spacers for $28 shipped Probably will mess with trying to use on the new project but will probably end up with Maxx length stuff. Thanks for the reply.

I use savage shocks and it's working good for me, although they are obnoxiously long. But, I like the way they look. Check my thread in TXT talk, under roctapus for pics of my set-up. I'm working on some beefier shock towers.

I'm using savage shocks cause I like the shocks connected to the axle and not mounted half way down the suspension links. It's all personal preference. As long as your placement does not restrict travel. The one thing to remember is that the more layed back, and tilted to the center the shocks are, the less mechnical advantage the shock will have on the axle.
