Default Servo horn question.

Hey, I recently got my first crawler, so I'm new to this type of rc. I had a spare traxxas 2056 servo lying round, so I thought I'd save some money and use that. (I'm currently waterproofing my scx10) so my question is, what servo horn do I need, because the stock one doesn't fit on the traxxas servo.

Cheers, Hammer

Perhaps you have some spare horn with your servo?
There's no special needs except that it should have a suitable spline.

TRAXXAS servos have a 25 spline output like futabas and savox servos.

Depending on how hard you will run your rig that servo may not last long with its plastic gears and 86oz of torque (I think) But it will get you going.

As a side note Hitecs have a 24 spline output

It came ith some servo horns, none fit though... Maybe it's because the traxxas servo is fairly old?

The splines have to fit the servo, what came with the rig are likely different.

Some more info... Servo spline count.....what to use where...

I looked up that thread, but it only has the traxxas 2075 and I have the traxxas 2056. Can I not use that?

When I get feedback on specific servos (that are private label), I add them in.

Traxxas does not make their own servo, they are made by others. Depending on who made that servo determines the spline count.

Axial makes an AWESOME clamping servo horn to fit (25 tooth) your needs. About $16.00. But worth the money.

Would 25 tooth be the right one for a traxxas 2056?
