Default Cleaning and lubricating axles?

I picked up a most of a TLT for a good deal. The gears look great and roll well, but I would like to clean and lube them prior to assembly. Anyone have a preferred method for cleaning the cases, gears and bearings? Any lubricant preferences?

I am sure there are recommendations in the manual, but thought I would check here before I RTFM. Thanks

Thanks, I have a few grease options in the garage. Any preferred cleaners? Just degreaser?

I use dish soap and warm water, if that isn't cutting it I use simple green.

Use a good pentrating oil at first to clean them. MAKE SURE ALL GET CLEANED OFF PRIOR TO REGREASING. Then use a marine grease. That's how I do it
