| 3D printed TTX300 steering angle mod
so if you didn't know, the TTX300 has a steering angle of about 100° (about 47° on each side). I don't know about you, but I don't like how sensitive it is. Thus, i have designed and printed a device to increase the angle that the wheel turns. according to math, this increases the steering angle from 100° to around 175°. |

You didn't share the file so that others could print it, or list where we could obtain one. So are you just here to brag that you have one and we don't :( I'm just kidding :P It looks cool, so you 3d printed it? How smooth do the 3d printed gears work? I don't think I would personally want more wrist movement from it, but I'm sure if you like it you wouldn't be alone. I would however like a longer throw on the throttle for more refined throttle control so I can see where you're coming from. I like upgrade options like this. |

Very cool idea, I never wanted more steering wheel throw until I started running scale trucks. I usually put a larger foam on the wheel for better control. Especially on Traxxas radios.

I haven't uploaded the files anywhere yet, but I probably will on thingiverse. The gears are mod 1.5, so they printed well with a 0.4mm nozzle. There's a little bit of lash at neutral, but it's unnoticeable while turning. While turning its a little bit chunky, so I'll probably change to helical gears instead of straight cut, but it might wear in smooth as is I'll get some pics after work Edit: changed thread title to a more accurate one Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Last edited by MasteroFlego; 07-09-2018 at 02:09 PM. |

Fantastic job! I work in a CNC machine shop that can make just about anything but I'm still jealous of you guys with 3D printers. Great work and thanks for sharing.

I would even take a 1:1 ratio and get this just to make 1 handed driving a little easier
