Default Venom Racing offers a mini- monster now too!

Boy this is making deciding which is better...the Tamiya was the winner (4wd and steering etc), but this Venom offering is definately 4wd...steering might be a no though.

$180 RTR to...with options available!

venom has the better deal as far as price...

but did you see what motor it has? a 280, upgradeable to a 370, but that will not be as powerful as tamiya's, unless that 280 is micro rs4 size, then you could upgrade with the big block, etc.. but can the electronics handle it

and that non polarity battery system might be a problem.. can you upgrade the electronics and still keep that, or is it all integrated??

it's also smaller than the tlt-1.. 1/20th

i do like the body tho.. looks like a lincoln mark V grille

i think i might wait till they're on ebay and see if i can get one under $100

I am not sure, you can pick up the tlt for $140 shipped off the internet and even local shops in denver have them for sale for $160. Running a 540 is tons more power then any 380 on the market. The tamiya axles are the same as the ones off of their semi trucks, with the addition of a steering knuckle and those trucks are rated to tow 30+ pounds. It will be interesting to compare the two trucks once they are both on the market a little longer.

I got my Venom truck running last night. Very cool! Too fast though. I narrowed the tires and wheels, hacked the bumpers off, etc, etc. If I can get it geared low enough, it will make a great "tiny crawler". I picked it up for $129 and it's worth every penny. Cheap fun!!!!!!

I saw one of these little buggers in denver last week and they are pretty sweet. For $129, you cant go wrong.

Things that Zoom is in Thornton.
As for pics of my little crawler: Here you go.

I run alkaline AA's. They don't last long! I am going to start to tear the whole truck apart and make my own, using the axles and electronics.

i dont know about the venom thing but that tlt doesnt need mods to make it a crawler but it does to make it a serious one. I personally think the tlt is better than the venom thing. The venom thing is more of a toy and the tlt is for hobbyists. Anyway xfactor you think it looks tougher? its made of mostly plastic and the tlt is mostly metal.

I have the Venom. You are right....the tlt is way better but the Venom has some potential.
