| Toy Class New Bright Crawler Mod- Just For Fun
First of all, this project was just for fun with a toy from the swapmeet and some parts bin stuff. I know it will not compete with your killer Axial or Losi etc. I have Hobby Class crawlers too, it's just for fun, relax. That said, everything unnecessary was stripped. All electronics except for the motors were removed. The center chassis was flipped over and the area for batteries was hollowed out to hold electronics. The all-or-nothing steering unit was removed and made to fit a standard servo, zip-tied in and rigged to work. ESC and RX use Velcro. It has Dual Stock Motors on the Axles which I think are 180s. ESC leads are just soldered to the exposed areas of the 2 motor wires that I soldered together. (Standard ESC handles 2 motors because the amp draw is so low.). Anyway, have a look. Took about an hour lol. I have 2 Maisto crawlers Im messing with now lol. (Much better than the NB as far as Toys go) |
